Tim Tebow Works Hard to Fight Trafficking

It's one of the greatest evils of our time, says Tebow.

By Faith on the Field Staff, December 22, 2021

Tim Tebow is a two-time national championship with the Florida Gators, where he won a Heisman Trophy. In the NFL he was nine and seven as a starting quarterback with the Denver Broncos. He was a first-round pick, and he also had a playoff win during that time.

Since leaving the field, Tim has accomplished many things for the game of football, but one thing that he has yet to tackle yet is coaching. Recently that was something that came up with Tim and and few of his friends. Rob Maaddi asked Tim is that was something he ever considered.

“Yeah, I’ve considered it, and there would definitely be a passion behind it. I think the hardest thing for me is that there are so many things I am very passionate about. If I did coaching, I know I’d be all in, and it would be very difficult to continue to do some of the things I’m very passionate about.”

Both Rob Maaddi and Tim Tebow are passionate about helping the millions of people that are victims of human trafficking.  It’s a cause that both men have invested their lives into solving.  Tebow knows it is a cause worth fighting.

“We just believe it's one of the greatest of evils in the world today and it's not just something that is happening overseas or third world country, or when you turn on the movie ‘Taken’. It's happening in our backyards, it is happening in our schools, it is happening in our communities. And it's not just (affecting) the lower incomes, it’s everywhere.”

Tebow shared the starting facts of where human trafficking is being facilitated the most

“One of the most disturbing facts is the number one consumer (of trafficking) is the US. The number-one consumer is the US, and it's one of the fastest-growing businesses in the world.”

Tim believes this battle to beat trafficking is going to take an all hands on deck approach.

“Honestly, this isn't something that's just going to be won by a few nonprofits. This is going to take an army of people that say no longer on our watch are we going to sit back and let this happen or watch this happen or support this happening.”
