THE SECRET INGREDIENT

         Everyone is always looking for that special ingredient from the secret to success or a secret recipe. We spend so much time searching and often look in all the wrong places.

         Our Father in Heaven sent us a helper to guide us throughout our life’s journey. His name is the Holy Spirit and He’s the secret ingredient we really need. Jesus told his disciples in John 14:26 - “The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

         We have access to a helper who wants to teach us who Jesus really is. He wants to give us strength and help us in our daily struggle with sin. The Holy Spirit wants to be present in our hearts. He wants to speak to us through the Bible and empower us to fight our own selfish desires. It is impossible for us to overcome our own sinful nature without help. The Holy Spirit is there for us, ready, willing and eager to give us the extra advantage we so desperately need.  We talk more in depth about this in our episode this week with Kelvin Beachum.
