Terrell Owens' Major Life Influence? His Grandmother.

In big ways and small ways, you never know the contribution you're making in someone else's life.

By Faith on the Field Staff, April 28, 2022

Terrell Owens is one of the greatest wide receivers to ever play in the NFL. He's also one of the most entertaining guys. He's 48 years old, but he's not done playing. He’s currently a part of the Fan Controlled League. This week he talked to our own Rob Maaddi.

Owens has been one of the most charismatic players to ever play football.  He was likely more polarizing than most players; most fans were not indifferent to Terrell Owens.

Terrell wears a cross earring as a testimony to his faith in God, a faith that began with his grandmother.

“My grandmother introduced me to the man above. I know that I wouldn't be who I am now without him. She introduced me to God.”

Like Timothy in the New Testament, Terrell had a tradition of faith passed down to him from his grandmother. She was instrumental in his life from an early age.

“She introduced me to church. One of my favorites and one of her favorite Scriptures is Philippians 4:13, ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’ That's really kind of how I live my life.”

“Every time that I do something, I put those things at the forefront.”
