Shaun Alexander Uses His Gifts to Further the Gospel

Shaun is using his life to serve Jesus and help others.

By Faith on the Field Staff, February 27, 2023

Many current and former NFL players, like Shaun Alexander, are seeking to use what God has gifted them with to serve others and further the gospel.

As Rob Maaddi discussed with Shaun Alexander, believers need to have an attitude of helping your neighbor, helping others, and not being judgmental but seeing the best in people. Shaun believes we need to be focusing on character when it comes to helping people.
“When you actually can look at somebody and say, ‘Here are my gifts’, and I don't want to be judged for what I don't do well, but I want you to know the character, whether it's something I do well or don't well, just judge my character and watch me give all this good stuff that I have to everybody else.
“I think everybody wants that and that to me that is a Christ example. That's what Jesus was for everybody. He was like, “Hey, look, I'm not gonna look at you for what you don't do well, I'm gonna take the best you got. And I want you to give me all you got.”

This is how Shaun tries to live his life – caring and helping others, especially in the Café Momentum.

“That's what I try to do with the circle of people around me. That's what I that's what I love about Café Momentum and to me, like Jesus was the perfect example. Like when I say a man, what's the best example of how you wanna do your life?

I'd be like, man, I gotta tell you, like, do you see what Jesus cared for people? Like it wasn't loose, like you can just go be foolish, but it was like, I'll meet you where you are. Now let's go be the best version of yourself.

And I just think that if the world looked at people like that, we'd spin the world upside down.”
