Sauce Gardner is an emerging NFL cornerback known for his exceptional skills and agility on the field. Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, Gardner rose to prominence during his college years at the University of Cincinnati, where he showcased remarkable talent in coverage and defensive maneuvers.
With an impressive combination of speed, technique, and football IQ, he has garnered attention from both fans and NFL scouts, positioning himself as a promising prospect for professional football.
With the arrival of Aaron Rodgers to the Jets squad this offseason, Sauce told Rob Maaddi that the vibe has definitely changed.
“And he just bring that swag. And I mean, he's Aaron. And when you walk into the room he gonna shake the room every time. You know, he wanted those guys. He's a natural leader. Great guy to be around. He changed the organization in a lot of ways for sure.
Continuing the conversation around their newly acquired quarterback, Rob asked Sauce about the personal side of Rodgers.
“Man, he’s a funny guy. I didn't know he was going to have as many jokes as he had, you know, he's a great guy to be around. He’s got a lot of jokes, man. I ain't going to say what jokes. But he’s got a lot of jokes in his repertoire for sure.”
Rob shared with Sauce how he is a man of strong faith, and commented on Sauce’s Instagram where he calls himself a child of God and a follower of Christ. Maaddi asked Sauce what that meant for him.
“It means a lot, you know what I mean? Just always stand in my word, you know, always reading the Bible. Anytime I have my off time and I ain’t watching film I just get in my word and just keeps me positive. I just finished reading the book of John. It just keeps me positive, man. Just truly blessed. And none of this stuff would be possible if it wasn't for the man above.
“True blessing on my gloves this year, you just look at my gloves. That's exactly what the inside of them says: “Follower of Christ, Child of God.” you know? So that's how it's always been. That's how it's always going to be.”
