Ronnie Stanley is staying positive and helping dogs get adopted.

While waiting to heal, Stanley is using his talents to help dogs and people.

Ronnie Stanley was a first-round offensive tackle, number 6 overall, by the Baltimore Ravens in 2016. He was an All-Pro in 2019 helping Lamar Jackson, earn NFL MVP Honors that season.

Stanley's 2020 season was cut short by an ankle injury. He played only one game this year before he had season-ending ankle surgery last month. During this time, Ronnie has had to lean on the support of other guys around him.

“I'm really just trying to make the best out of it and just focus on the positives.”

When Stanley is healthy, his main responsibility to is to protect his quarterback, Lamar Jackson. With how versatile an athlete Jackson is, that can be a challenge for an offensive tackle.

“It's real fun. It has its own challenges, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I love playing for Lamar. I love the person that he is. He’s the most talented player on the field every time. So it's always nice and the confident feeling of having him with you on the field.”

The Ronnie Stanley Foundation launched this week, whose purpose is to help dogs get adopted by families that will love them and care for them. Ronnie’s passion for canines is what drives this foundation.

“I love dogs. I have three dogs, all rescues. The whole point of the foundation is show how beneficial each species can be for each other and also as well as pinpointing a problem of over-breeding. There are so many stray dogs in shelters due to a lot of dog breeding and people not treating those dogs as well as they should.”

Ronnie talked to Rob Maaddi about his Twitter bio which talks about the importance of fearing God and not people.

“I think it's important reminder there's no one that you really need to fear. Every man is still a man. Playing the sport that I play; I play against giant men. I think it’s always a reminder to me that everyone’s human.”

“It’s important to always stay humble before God.”
