 A GROUNDBREAKING REPORTER

As the first known female sports reporter to participate in a professional football training camp, her pursuit of delivering an authentic account to her fans is relentless. Ms. Baribeau is a graduate of the Auburn University Broadcast Journalism program and as a master of her craft, she’s delivered insightful commentary to millions of sports enthusiast via national broadcasters such as Fox Sports, ESPN, CBS Sports, Yahoo, and SiriusXM.

MULTI-TALENTED

Captivating, her various posts include roles such as Sports Editor, Sports Radio Talk Show Host, Sideline Reporter, Internet Anchor, Field Reporter and Host of the College Football Playoff National Championship. Rachel’s ability to “transcend layers and pull out the real story” is actively sought after in covering the SEC, NFL, NASCAR, and Pro Football Hall of Fame, among other notable championship games and Fortune 500 appearances.

THE 'SEC-OLOGIST'

As the south’s sweetheart of sports, Ms. Baribeau has been dubbed an “SEC-ologist” as she has covered the SEC, and college football, for over ten years. In fall of 2015, she was bestowed a Heisman vote by the Heisman Trust. She was the first female host on SiriusXM ESPNU. She can also be heard on ESPNU, SEC and ACC channels in the SiriusXM family of Networks.

A CHAMPION OF CAUSES

Outside of work, Ms. Baribeau may put down the microphone but chooses to pick up a megaphone and rally others for the causes in her community. In April of 2014, she organized a climb up Kilimanjaro for former NFL, and Alabama, fullback Kevin Turner, who suffers from ALS. The climb was later turned into a movie narrated by Mike Ditka. AN ACTIVE SPEAKER

Rachel is also an avid speaker at many a college, quarterback club, and church. In 2016 she founded she blazed another trail with the movement, #ChangingtheNarrative. Since August of 2016, she has visited 35 schools, and counting, talking to young athletes about being Kings and Queens through purpose, passion and platform; and an increased and real look at mental health and how we deal. Also, on a deeper level, how we look at/respect women in society as a whole and within their universities. The movement has caught fire with millions of social-media hits, spawning a collaboration with the NCAA to present the #ChangingtheNarrative award and a non-profit to further and deepen life-long change.
