One organization that has had a significant impact on Rachaad’s life is the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America.

“So Big Brothers, Big sister has had a huge impact. I met my mentor when I was 8 years old and my mom got me and my three older brothers and she got us all in the program and I'm watching my older brothers go out with their bigs and things like that. And I wanted to, but I had to (wait). You know that's where my patients come from. Cause I always had to be patient. So I like the Big Brothers Big Sisters, you know, program a lot. And I do a lot of things with them.”

Rachaad personally knows the impact of having a mentor in your life. He shared with Rob Maaddi about the pressing need for Big Brothers right now.

“It's 30,000 kids, you know, on the waiting list right now. Then we're just looking for more mentors. And most of them are boys. I feel like young boys need a lot of guidance, you know, especially with growing from a male figure that's older and, you know, just show them the ropes and show them the way to think, do things. We’re looking for about 6000 mentors to come around we're trying to get that in about 60 days.”

What fuels Rachaad’s life philosophy is his faith in God. It provides stability and poise in his life.

“I just believe in God, I trust God. Everything being God’s timing. So I mean, I could tip my hat off to a lot of that like a lot of dudes like how you got so much poise. I just give it up to God, you know, everything in life, I feel like it's what's meant to be, it's meant to be. You can't really dwell on nothing. So, I love God. God is there walking with us all through all walks of life, you know?”
