ARE YOU LIVING IN A COMFORT ZONE?
Are you a stagnant Christian? For many years, I was.
I went through the motions. I went to Church. I left God there. I prayed. I sinned. I went to confession. I started over. For me, faith was a religion. I didn’t understand the concept of a relationship with Christ because it wasn’t what I knew. But God planted people in my life who challenged my faith, and eventually when I went outside my comfort zone, my spiritual journey took off.
I’m no longer stuck in the quicksand of religion, merely going through the rituals and sinking into an abyss of emptiness and brokenness. Since going outside my comfort zone, I’ve been on fire for the Lord and I have a burning passion to share what Christ has done in my life and what He can do for those who accept Him as Lord and Savior.
I’m not perfect. I make mistakes. I struggle. But I have Jesus and now I understand I don’t have to earn my way to Heaven by doing good works. Rather, the good works flow naturally because I want to honor God.
If you are feeling stagnant in your faith, I encourage you to go outside your comfort zone, dig deeper, challenge yourself, become comfortable with being uncomfortable and allow God to use you to do His work.
