Landon's Light

Twelve-year-old Landon Solberg lost his battle with brain cancer recently and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz helped shine Landon’s Light by talking about the way this incredible young boy stayed faithful throughout adversity.

Carson said Landon’s faith inspired him.  It challenges me in my faith, too.

When I’m feeling down about the silliest things, or when I’m upset over something dumb, it challenges me to be thankful for all my blessings, to be grateful for everything and most of all, to stay faithful.

Trouble looks different for each of us. We don’t have the same struggles. But we have the same God who sent his only son to be our Lord and Savior. In Christ, we find salvation, we find hope, we find peace.

Landon Solberg did it despite the toughest, most difficult challenge any of us can face. He lost his physical battle too soon. But he’s winning souls for the Kingdom because he maintained his strong faith through it all.

Paul says in 2 Corinthians 4:8-10: “In every way we’re troubled, but we aren’t crushed by our troubles. We’re frustrated, but we don’t give up. We’re persecuted, but we’re not abandoned. We’re captured, but we’re not destroyed. We always carry around the death of Jesus in our bodies so that the life of Jesus is also shown in our bodies.”

Our response to adversity can be our most powerful testimony. Let your light shine like Landon did.
