This heart motivates him to serve others as Jesus did.

Kelvin Lee Beachum Jr. is an American football offensive tackle for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. He played college football at SMU and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the seventh round of the 2012 NFL draft. He has also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets.
This week Rob Maaddi had the privilege of sitting down with Kelvin. Kelvin knows something about serving as someone who goes to third-world countries and helps drill wells. And in his mind, this attitude stems from a servant’s heart toward the Lord.
“That's everything. That's everything. That's where it starts at. In devotion this morning it was talking about surrendering. And this is what I've been called to do. I'm surrendering what God has given me, I'm surrendering the time to be able to go and serve in this particular capacity.”
Kelvin reflected on the heritage of his family, particularly his grandfather who is a Pastor.
“You know my grandfather, who is still pastoring right now, this is what he did and it's still doing as a pastor. He's serving. And his role in his sphere, where his feet that's where he's serving. And I'm just taking that same opportunity and using it. Within, my particular sphere or within the influence that God has given me and the resources that God has given me right now and just taking it and running with it.”
“The Bible talks about your gift will make room for you. My gift is this football and it's made room for me to do some special things and some special places.”
