HE'S STILL THERE
Has anyone ever asked you why does God allow bad things to happen to good people? I’ve heard this question several times from one media personality over the years anytime tragedy strikes.
Whenever a loved one is lost, disaster hits or something really bad happens to us, it’s common for us to question God. We wonder why is He allowing us to go through this pain and suffering. Where is He? How could He not prevent this? It’s one of the toughest realities we face as believers.
It’s difficult to understand and we may never know the reason but we have this assurance: God is still there with us. He doesn’t leave us. He doesn’t forsake us. In our darkest moments, during our time of worst suffering, God is still with us.
Isaiah 43:2 says “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”
