BACKGROUND

Boston Scott (born April 27, 1995) is an American football running back for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Louisiana Tech. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

AMATEUR CAREER

Scott attended the Zachary High School where he was the leading rusher and earned local and state honors. He was a high school state champion in weightlifting.

In his senior season at Louisiana Tech, the diminutive running back has rushed for 937 yards on 163 attempts for a 5.7 per attempt average. He amassed 1,301 yards overall offense contributing 108.4 yards per game in 2017. Scott was a watchlist candidate for the Wuerffel Trophy.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER

Scott was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the sixth round (201st overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. On May 10, 2018, Scott signed his rookie contract with the Saints. After making the Saints' initial 53-man roster, he was waived on September 5, 2018 and was re-signed to the practice squad.

Philadelphia Eagles

Scott was signed off the Saints' practice squad by the Philadelphia Eagles on December 10, 2018. Scott was waived during final roster cuts on August 31, 2019, but was re-signed to the team's practice squad the next day.

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: 2018 (PHILADELPHIA EAGLES - 2/0, 2/0) - Took over as the Eagles’ primary kickoff return man in Week 16 of the regular season ... Finished with 96 yards on 4 kickoff returns (24.0 avg.), including a career-best 35-yard return at LAR (12/16/18) ... In the playoffs, combined for 54 yards on 3 kickoff returns (18.0 avg.)

COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS: Played collegiately at Louisiana Tech, where he rushed for 1,047 yards and 8 TDs and caught 20 passes for 181 yards and 1 TD en route to All-Conference USA honors as a senior in 2017 ... Enjoyed a career day in L.A. Tech’s win over Rice with career highs in rushing attempts (15), yards (137) and TDs (3) ... Joined the team as a walk-on in 2013
