Bijon Robinson Runs, but for Jesus
The running back wants his platform to be used by God to glorify Him.

Bijan Robinson, the accomplished running back from Texas, is going to the Atlanta Falcons. Robinson was picked 8th overall in the recent NFL draft, making him the highest-drafted running back since 2018.
Robinson obviously brings a lot to the field, but off the field was part of the focus as he chatted with our own Rob Maaddi before the draft. Robinson, when he spoke to Rob about this, first spoke about his relationship with the Lord.
“So I mean, my faith is a big thing. You know, I play for God and he's the one that blesses me to do everything. So even just bringing that part of it into a team and then even off the field, you know, I'm a big guy. I'm a big believer in giving back to so many communities to charities.”
Robinson has a big, charitable heart, and his desire is to help all kinds of people as he gets opportunities.
“To kids, animals, the homeless, like you name it. Man, I'm a big, big believer in that because you know, I feel that I've been blessed to do something on the field, but there's so many people that are watching on the field. So when they get to, you know, see you off the field, then when they get to, you know, just even just interact with you, for me to just be a friend to those people.”

Not everyone has been blessed with a platform like professional sports, like Robinson. He recognizes that, and wants to use it to its fullest advantage.
“That's what's important because, you know, football is the platform that that I've been blessed with. But I think the difference maker is when it comes to off the field than what I can do to so many people off the field.”
But his faith platform is what Robinson is really hoping God will use. The Lord is the greatest part of his life.
“It's the most important thing. I mean, if I didn't have the Lord in my life, I wouldn't have been here talking to You and you know he's the one that blesses me to do everything. He's the one that gives me the conscience, the heart, the mind to do everything. and even all decisions that I make. I always got to pray about everything that I do just because, like you know, you can go into this situation blind and not know what's going on.”
“But just knowing that you have God right there covering you then that's what makes the comfort level what it is.”
